GS Inima will sign the contract with Oman Power & Water Procurement Co. (OPWP) on Sunday (local time), and under the deal, it will have the rights to operate the desalination facility for 20 years after its completion, the Ministry of Environment said in a statement.
The desalination facility to be built in Oman’s capital city of Muscat is capable of providing 300,000 tons a day of drinking water to local residents, it said.
