SEOUL, Sept. 7 (Yonhap) — South Korea’s drug ministry said Monday it has held the first meeting of a newly created platform connecting the heads of global regulatory agencies for cosmetics.
The first meeting of the Global Cosmetic Regulatory Authority Summit, or GCORAS, kicked off in central Seoul for its three-day run until Wednesday, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said.
A total of 15 regulatory agencies from 12 countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, attended the event, the ministry said.
The ministry said it plans to use the platform to lead global regulatory cooperation in the field of cosmetics.
